what medium to use?

hello, i just wanted to know the pros and cons of different mediums to use to incubate eggs. i am trying to get the ideas for myself to use. thanks.

I feel that both work equally well. Perilite seems to dry out easier but I like the clean look that it keeps. Vermiculite seems to leave eggs more vonerable to mold but that is just my personal feeling. I use around an inch of perilite for all my egg containers but I have had equal luck with vermiculite. I also know many people have had great luck with all sorts of medium from peat moss to sand mixes.
