Gravid Dumerils Boa???

cfoley Dec 19, 2006 08:12 AM

Hey guys,

I posted this in the Dumerils section...but that appears visited not so often, so I figured I would check this forum also.

Anyway, the pics are not the best, but you can see the swelling. She has gone off feed, and her attitude has turned to hell. It appears she may be approaching a shed.

Any input appreciated

Thanks!

Greg,

I was actually just about to snap at you....but I'm not sure how to take that. Are you implying that you believe shes carrying babies, or are you just being rude?

Either way...thanks for any input.

It was not to be rude, rather an explination of why her temperment may have changed (i.e. no support to her mid section especially during pregnancy). Also she does look to be filled up which I did not mention so I could see how you may have taken my comment as a attack... sorry.

Merry Christmas

In that case, I apologize for partially accusing....you know how it gets on forums sometimes.

Anyway, I am hoping that is a good sign, although the swelling seems to be up a bit higher. Maybe live bearers hold higher up than egg layers?

I only held her like that to get a good pic. Other than that, I don't bother her even a little, as I understand how important it is to limit stress on a gravid female.

Thanks again

Chris

You would be? That's nice. It's also a waste of space and rather immature.
