Grady and I examined and measured the snake at the SPCA yesterday. It is an 11', somewhat underfed Burmese Python.
The media should have the correct information now. I was told by one local new anchorman that they "didn't understand the difference between a python and a boa constictor". They are under pressure to get the story faster than the competition so I guess they rush the facts. Anyway...that's the real story.
I believe Damien from Arrowhead has a home lined up for it.
Sad story no matter how you look at it.
I am reluctant to talk about anything other than that at least yet out of respect to the victims family...email me if you like...
