When do boys "grow up"?

I just noticed that two of my baby cresteds aren't so much babies anymore. They are starting to grow their hemipenal bulges. Thing is they are currently living in the same cage (approx. 40 gal size). How soon should I separate them? They are not aggressive to each other... yet.

Now is a good time. Once you can accurate sex them as males, you should put them into individual cages. Why wait till they start fighting?
