Wire Cage and Water Dragon

naenaechan Dec 20, 2006 01:05 PM

I haven't got him yet, I'm going to receive him on Friday and I'm going to buy crickets on thrs. Am I asking for a disaster with a wire cage? I know that they hurt themselves in glass... He's a baby and the cage is 4'x2'x3.5', clean chicken wire. Also, theres going to be a problem with the food.... I plan on feeding him crickets, and also other insects, but I'm worried about the crickets getting free. Would it be safe to put the crickets in the fridge for a few minutes to calm them down before feeding? I hope so, otherwise I'll have crickets all over my house!

All help is appreciated ^.^

for a water dragon at all.

Water dragons need high humidity. A wire cage will not hold humidity at all. Also, they have a tendancy to run their snouts on the barriers of the cage-wire will cause a lot of snout damage
