My setup

Okay here is a picture of the warm side of the tank I have my breeding pair of common boas in.

I have a 75 watt bulb in there. I checked with my temp probe today and on the highest rocks closest to the light it is 112 degrees . On the lower black rock about 100 degrees, and under all those and on bottom of tank it is about 90degrees.

Is this a good temperature gradient? Or is it too hot and I should move the bulb out ontop of the lid or maybe switch to 50 watt?

That's too hot. The boa should have an area that is in the low 80's and an area that is in the mid 90's during the day. You might want to drop these temps about 5 degrees at night. Your snake is spending time in the water bowl because they are too hot.

I would really suggest a smaller bulb or a differen't heating method. Boas can actually cook themselves. I speak from experience. If your boa eats, first thing it will want to do is bask in the heat and it will stay long enough to give it's self a heatstroke. I lost a really nice super salmon female in a very close situation as yours. Thanks Daniel.
