What kind of substrate would be least toxic and most comfortable to a bearded dragon? I know you can use just about anything, but what is the best?

first you can NOT use just about anything walnut bedding, cedar, sharp edged sands, wood chips and im sure there are other things can kill a bearded dragon. the most commonly used substrates i know of are , washed playsand, wheat bran, and newspaper. paper towels for younger ones
