small breeder?

senorsnake Dec 20, 2006 04:06 PM

We have a female who is a few months shy of her 3rd birhday, and is only about 3.5ft.. she will be only 2-3 months shy of being 4 next season. She eats 1 med. rat every week, has never refused a meal and seems perfectly healthy. Is there any hope that she may have a spurt, and at what age do I just assume shes not going to get much bigger? Does anyone have any breeders under 6ft that are mature in age?

Well not all snakes follow our rules of growth. I have a pair of '04's , and while one is almost 5 ft and stocky, the other is about a foot longer and more slender ( both females ), and will probably take an extra year of growth to bulk up than the first. I don't know of any growth spurts that your hoping for.
