Bit o' snakey art

Dragonflychaser Dec 20, 2006 09:03 PM

Thought I'd share a quick watercolor of a corn snake I did a few nights ago. It was a quick one (about 40 minutes), so things are a bit unrefined and rushed.

Also decided to show another quick seasonal watercolor I plan on sending to a friend as a Christmas card.

Sorry about the watermarks, but art theft runs rampant these days.

nice pics.
the only thing about the water marks is that they break the user agreement. So, do not be surprised if everyone of your posts gets deleted when you have pics with watermarks.
just a heads up

So I just read.

Well, I edited down the watermarks so hopefully they'll be acceptable now?

Nice work, I can't wait to show my wife when she gets home from work. I think they are pretty darn good and I know she will appreciate them.
She likes to do "pencil" art.
Not meaning to hijack your thread but here is a drawing she did a few years ago.

Thanks!

And I don't mind at all, I was actually thinking afterwards I should've asked if anyone else had herp art to share. Lovely drawing of hers! Does she have an online gallery at all I can check out?

I started out liking graphite best, but I've found I prefer charcoal now on any bigger drawings (22 x 30" or so) I've had to do for classes. Watercolors are growing on me as I learn how to use them, but pen & ink and digital are still a fav.

I guess it just depends on what I'm doing, heh.

I do need to do more snake art now, though. Well, this isn't exactly snake art, but it's reptilian to some degree!

Very cool. Geez, I'm lucky if I can draw a stick figure.

Heheh, ironically, I can't draw stick figures very well.
