I have a 4 month old female Dumeril's Boa in need of a name. She managed to survive a mishap with UPS that had her arrive 7 days later than expected. The time in limbo just make her thirsty and cold by the time she arrived. I've been watching her for signs of respiratory infections and dehydration. She's been drinking some water on a regular basis, but nothing excessive. I've noticed one quirk about her, in that she tells you when she's hungry. She'll come out of hiding and watch you near the front of the cage. This notion proved to be true when I fed her today and she eagerly took a large fuzzy. She doesn't venture out of hiding anymore. However this might be a common trait for Dumeril's as I've never had one before.
