hey mike. i might ahve asked u this before but where did u get those leaves?... how has it been working for you... how is the smell?... ive seen it in ALOt of monitor pics and it seems better then just dirt and soil.

I just rake them up from the yard. Any leaves will do. There is some earthy smell, though not sure if it lasts. Enclosure is sealed except for small vent, plus I have so many ambient 'aromas' that it is hard to distinguish. There is a layer of cypress mulch beneath. Other times I'll use dirt underneath.
