My new beardie was perfect this morning. I fed him 6 little crickets that I lightly dusted with calcium and vitamins and he ate them right up. About 2 hours later, he ws spinning to the right with his head tilted and occasionally flipping himself over. I had a scheduled vet appointment already for today, so I called and they let e bring him in earlier. Anyways, I dropped him off so they could observe him and the vet had surgery this morning, so he wasn't immediately available. Just got off the phone with them and they said he has a severe inner ear infection and that for a young beardie that is serious. They are treating him with antibiotics and I am to call them in the morning to see how he is doing. Has anyone ever heard of this? Or have you had a beardie with an ear infection? If so, I would like to hear your stories.
We are praying and keeping our fingers crossed.

He was the one I got for free because of his head tilt. I posted a couple days ago about him, for those who don't remember. Oh, and we named him Bryce.

ear infections are tough on all creatures, but for babies of any species, it can be even rougher, great that you got him to the vet right away, please keep us updated on how the lil guy is doing.

his problems.

It is not a common problem, I have a beardie that swims underwater, its her passion, and I was worried about that, but was told their ears are not like mammals so ear problems are rarer.

Lets hope this is what the problem is and the antibiotics will fix it
