I swore this year that I would continue 14 hours of simulated daylight and my dragons would stay active all winter. Mostly because it works for me with my work schedule. Silly Me. One dragon has been down completely since Nov. 5th. One hides under a 1/2 log on the warm end of his tank for a week at a time before coming out and eating for a few days. I can see him and he is awake but stays in. The other gets up every day on her own schedule and goes to bed when she wants. I gave in and cut the day lights to 12 hours about amonth ago. The moral of the story is they all seem to slow down in the winter in their own way. Can't fight mother nature I guess.
Interestingly, I woke the Taylor who I had'nt seen for 1 1/2 months today and gave her a bath. After warming up she seemed fine, drank some water from an eyedropper played with the other dragons on the floor for a little while, still wanted no food and went right back to digging into her sleeping spot. Guess I'll check her again in another month or 2. Oh, weighed her she only lost 4 grams in 6 weeks with no food or water.
