Question about nesting

Dobry Dec 22, 2006 01:14 PM

I was wondering how you know where the female nested. This is becuase my monitors have an entire network of burrows throughout the enclosre and they are always filling in one burrow and diging a new one. There is a whole lot of volume in the trough and I would hate to just start looking by trial and error. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jason

"I was wondering how you know where the female nested."

That's an easy one. It's always in the last place I look. haha

Cheers

Man does he have a lot to learn. hahahahahahahahahahaha You can dig the whole cage up and find nothing, then come here and we will tell you to dig it up again. You will and then find the eggs. I know, sounds like magic, but that has happened many times. The buggers are tricksters.

Actually I am very good at predicting where they will be, Oh many 9 out of 10, but oh that tenth one, its always the last possible place. Cheers

Yup, I don't think he understood what I was getting at.

The last clutch I dug up was the quickest yet. I kinda got lucky and found a tunnel that I had a feeling about and followed it right to the egg chamber.

I just sent you an e-mail. Cheers

Well get used to it, hahahahahahaha no worries, once you had a few dozen clutches, you will get an idea where the eggs will be.

But then they will throw you a curve and cause you to squash the eggs. They do that U know. As far as I can tell, its a curse. The monitors have to mess with us, because we keep them in cages.
