This little girl came in a 20-lot of 2002 normal girls last year.
She never fed for me in her life, but always took freshly killed as long as you placed them in her mouth. Never took live or pre-killed from tongs.
All you had to do was place the head of a freshly killed rat or mouse! in her mouth, she would then constrict and eat! Worked like 95% of the time.
I did this with her for aprox 6 months. One day she took a live mouse, killed, constricted and ate it with no problems.
From this point on I stopped the assist (not force) feeding. I waited 2-months and finally she ate again on her own!
From this day on she has been pounding live mice with no problems at all, I do assist and add a medium rat to her meal as she swallows the small mouse, so she can catch up to the other normal girls. Aprox 960 grams, amazing how fast they grow if they start to eat on a somewhat steady basis.
I know all BP's are docile, but this snake is such a sweetheart. I know she wishes she were a Pastel
