Alright, a week AFTER the eggs were laid, I finally get the camera back from my folks and can upload the pictures.

My darling Cindy laid three good eggs and one slug. In these pics, yes, she does have a retained eye cap, and I'm leaving it alone until the next shed, when it will more than likely come off.
But back to the important part.
MY FIRST EGGS.

She's on bark and coconut husk, which gives me good sheds (except for that eye), but it didn't keep things humid enough for the eggs.

At this time I don't have a scale for weighing snakes and things on, so I don't have weights for either my female or her eggs. She laid three good eggs and one slug, and to me they were really heavy, for eggs.

Anyway, thanks to everyone who helped me out when I had questions!

Happy Holidays!

Wierd but true:

The pictures were not so bad looking when I took them off the camera, but it looks like uploading them to photobucket kinda mutilated them.

Sorry!

Thanks! My biggest trial so far has been humidity, they were definately too dry when my girl had them but once they went into the incubator alluva sudden there were these great big dents. I mixed the vermaculite 2 parts water, 1 part vermaculite (it clumped when I squeezed and everything), but added some water to the grooves at the bottom of the incubator after I saw the dents and they haven't gotten any worse. Just gotta keep adding water every other day I suppose.

If these babies hatch they'll be little miracles!

I don't know what incubater you have or how you have it set up, but this is how I do it and haven't had any humidity problems at all. I mix my vermic. like you did, place it in a plstic shoe box, then add the eggs half way down in it. Then to ensure that I don't need to add more water to the vermic as they incubate. I place 1 dixie cup in each corner and fill 1/2 with water. Cover the shoe box with plastic wrap to hold humid. put the cover back on and in the incubater it goes. This way you shouldn't have to add water and take the chance of adding to much. This is my third year breeding and had 100 perc. hatch this way! Maybe someone else has a different way. Just saying how I do it.
Anyway, Good luck,
Casey
PS (Covering the box with wrap requires you to crack it open every other day or so for air)

Hmmm, I've got the eggs in a ginormous plastic deli cup and I put the eggs in and then scooped up the vermaculite halfway up around them. I'll try adding in cups of water next time I open up the incubator, they'd be easier to see and fill than the little grooves in the clear plastic.
It's only been about 10 days and I'm already counting down. "Only fifty more days to go! Only fifty more days to go!"

Thanks for the tip!
