I think this camera hates me.

Still can't get good pics.. these are my other 2 juvies from this season...

My Youngest Blizzard hatched in May

My oldest Het hatched in April with my holdback Blizzard from last post. She's not even half his size...If she doesn't start putting on size soon I'll probably end up keeping her too.

If you really want to take nice pictures, pick up a more expensive camera. That's what I did, and I'm so happy about it! Here is a picture that mine took (my camera was less than $300 canadian)

I know.. but at the moment... Can't afford it.. We're saving up money to move... sometime at the end of September.. beginning of October.. Hence the el-cheapo camera. Some pics come out alright.. others don't... Mostly its the geckos I'm having a hard time with. My Savannah Monitors pics came out fine as did my Boa's.

What type of camera are you using? Digital? The pic you posted is great!

I don't like digital cameras compared to my Minolta STsi Maxxum. I took pics that wowed a friend of mine whose a professional photographer. My monitor really realy sucks (my good one blew up and i'm using a very old one) so its hard for me to scan in a pic and know if it looks good It also makes it hard for me to view pics.

Its time for a whole new computer system, and if you are using a digital camera what brand is it? I might get one just to help ease the cost of developing so much film.

Thanks,
Red

At the moment.. I'm using a SiPix cam.. about the cheapest out there you can buy in the digital field. The pics could be alot better. It took me 15 tries to get the pics I finally put up here.. In 10 different lighting ranges. And they were still somewhat blurry... I've got a 6 year old Gateway computer thats been updated a couple times.. I know computers and how to build them though so I keep this one pretty much running alright. Still.. a new one on my end would be nice too *L*

Thanks for getting back to me. I doubt digital will ever be as great as good old film.......others will disagree i know i know hehehe.

I'm still learning the ropes of manual functions but i've produced some great pics so its worth the frustration of the bad ones LOL. What i really want is a macro lens, for closeups. There was one pic posted in the gallery that was awesome! A closeup of a lizards eye. As for my computer.......its old, way old, i can't run any of the programs i want to (games like warcraft 3, or art/graphics programs), so its time for a new one. It bugs me that i can't view pics clearly and any pics i scan in look aweful! Depending on the how the pic turns out online it makes a huge difference in how it shows what a gecko looks like. What might be bright in person or the actual photograph might look dull when viewed online.

My only problem right now is lack of money *laughs* SiPix does make a camera for like $120 that has macro function... This camera I have by them doesn't... Which makes closeup photos a pain in the rear... My boa came out excellent actually.... Got his coloring in there really nicely.. Its just my geckos I'm having problems with because of the need for closeup shots.
