One Or Two??

I got a hatchling sulcata and at the store there was another one there, Do they prefer company or solitary? I was thinking of getting the other one that is there. I will be building a big enclosure this summer so room is not a factor.Thank you in advanced.

well,

Sulcatas can do great solitary, tortoise naturally are solitary, and do not go in groups, they only meet up when mating

You can add the other one, but you have to realize that if its male female, the female can be bullied and stress, if its a male male, breeding behaviors can cause injuries and or death.

You would have to plan big enclosure, really big, 2 adult sulcatas can use a lot of space, and eat a lot. Money and space really.

Up to you if you want to add another, but remember they do cost a lot when full grown, and full grown sulcatas poop is like dog poop, lol

lol, really up to you,

I think at times like this it's always good to do the Sulcata Reality Check:
