Adam,
How can you say whiskey is not reptile related....back in the old days when a Cowboy was bitten by a rattlesnake part of sucking the venom out of the wound involved drinking whiskey to kill the pain

Glad to hear you cleaned up. My last Christmas reptile related gifts were 2 HELIX DBS controlers and a couple of shirts my wife made for me w/ my snakes pics on them.

Your Mom hooked you up! Now you can buy more snakes

I heard from a reliable source that whiskey is an essential remedy for mexicana bites as well.

APLAXAR Dec 28, 2006 02:54 PM

i guess whiskey is a valuable reptile tool. oh and nikon fixed my camera so i should be posting pics of all the new snakes i have aquired recently, and updated shots of others

by a little mexicana once (among other things) after I gave her a little too much whiskey and tequila. I think I could have avoided the bite and had my way without the whiskey.

now that little "Mexicana" didn't bite you during your Navy adventures did it???
Russ

vichris Dec 28, 2006 09:02 PM

No that was a French Canadian. I got bit by the mexicana in Monterey. Why are always picking on me. I'm always so sweet to you. I'm a very sensitive guy ( in certain places)

picking on you..........I thought they called that making conversation. Man you guys out west have some thin skin

Did you hibernate the hatchlings?

Russ

vichris Dec 30, 2006 12:24 AM

I actually have pretty thick skin. I'm used to being dogged. But I thought you were my friend . I put most of the babies in the cooler. Speaking of cooler we got 10 inches of snow here today and more to come.

always your friend...just jealous you have snow and I don't.

P.S. Don't eat the yellow snow

vichris Dec 30, 2006 09:29 AM

Wow I woke up and we now have well over a foot of snow and still coming down like crazy. You yellow snow thing reminds me of the time I was in Great Lakes for A school and I poured out some lemonade one night in the snow in front of my dorm. The next morning when we were waiting around me and another friend went and scooped some up and ate it. We grossed out everyone.

that is too funny. I had a buddy in A school that puked on demand.....sickest thing you ever saw but boy could it be amusing ....especially when he timed it right....for the right audience if you know what I mean.

Steve_Craig Dec 30, 2006 12:26 PM

You know Russ, come to think of it, those company commanders up in Great Lakes were always calling us pukes. I guess your A school bud took it a bit too seriouly?

I went to bootcamp in San Diego CA. The company commanders out there called everyone Sh_tbirds. Pukes didn't come til later.
