Does anyone live near San Jose CA.?

drasticplastic Dec 28, 2006 11:50 AM

I'm receiving a snake today through delta and was wondering if anyone has experience picking up with delta in San Jose. I just want to be prepared and have everything I need when I get there. I have the flights and airway bill number, drivers license of course, do I need anything else?

that's all you would need. I usually pick up from Oakland. It's also good to know where the office is and what time it closes.

San Jose is very easy and is usually on point. Sounds like you have everything you need. The Delta Cargo is on the right after all the termanals. Goodluck and enjoy your new boa.

I'm getting an anery het albino female from Mark Miller, I'll post pictures once she's settled in. She arrives at 830 tonight and the cargo office is open until midnight so I have plenty of time there. Is it ok to open the box right there in the office or should I go out to my car first? I'm not sure how they feel about me taking out a boa in front of everyone, even though they know that's what I'm accepting. I just want to make sure she's alright from her trip and "IF" (lets hope not) the box gets mishandled or anything could be wrong, I want to handle it right then and there instead of driving home first (25 miles away) and finding out there.

my stuff in the office to make sure everything is good. They actually perfer you to open it there so if anything is wrong they witnessed you open it and can verify to the sender that it showed up that way. It's better for you also.

Two ways to get there, main airport entrance from 87, loop around both terminals and where you would normally loop back after the old terminal, go straight and turn right. Door is not labeled as Delta, I think it says Continental.

or from Coleman rd, back entrance to airport near 880 onramp, will loop you around end of runway. When you get to a left turn with a stop sign for the left turn only, turn left. Air cargo building straight ahead.

Air cargo takes about a half hour to arrive at office

Definately open it there, air cargo can witness condition of package/animal if need be. Should be fine, never had a Delta shipment go wrong.
