hello!

veiledbrian Dec 28, 2006 03:01 PM

Its been some time since I have been on this forum. As some of you may or may not know I have been gone for the last 5 or 6 months completing basic training and AIT ( advanced individual training) for the Army. My wife did a fabulous job keeping my chameleons for me while I was gone. Unfortunately one, my older female veiled, passed away about a week before I got home, but to no fault of my wifes I just figured that some of you, and perhaps mostly Lele, would appreciate an update on my male panther Hooloovoo. Here is a pic.

I like the yellows on his lower body. How old is he?

He is getting to be around a year old now, I think. I had all his info on chameleondatabase.com and now the site is not working...

I got my pair from Chameleon Co. as well. My guy was fathered by Napalm and my gal was fathered by Zeppo.

I have been busy with a zillion things and have not been here too often, but wondered how you were making out with your training. Glad Hoolloovoo is doing well! Cyrus turned a year Dec. 12th and I think Hoo was a month older? I have pics on Flickr.com and webshots.com under user 13lele. He's been having some eye trouble (seems to finally be improving - no diagnosis!) so some of those pics are of his eyes (and poop, too! lol!) But here are some from the summer. He is VERY mellow, LOVES his jungle gym, learning to like showers and sits under his dripper just like Luna did!

Glad to have you back!

Is that a blueberry bush? I remember reading years ago about a cham that learned to zap blueberries from his owners hand. Have yours ever eaten blueberries. Here is a website I found listing things eaten by a veiled, blueberries among others.

Yes, we have several and when I bring him out to shower in the summer I have to put him on something short enough so he can't get away from me! That was taken around early July or late June (I always have to fight with the birds to get them once ripe! I turn the corner and a flock of waxwings, robins or others will zoom off!

Cyrus is a panther so has no interest in any fruit. Luna (my veiled) never liked blueberries. Her favorites were butternut squash and strawberries! She'd fall of her branch for one of those!

I know that same list! I used to balance small cherry tomatoes right in the center of the leaves on her schefflera for her to pick off

Here she is after a sloppy strawberry - mmmm
