Airplants and Geckos

Graniteer Dec 28, 2006 04:35 PM

I have recently acquired a couple of leopard geckos. I'm trying to make a terrarium, and thought of adding a few airplants to make it look a little nicer. Does anyone know if they are poisonous or disruptive to the geckos? I'm also wondering about them with crickets, if they'll be chewed on and some sort of toxin passed on. I was advised to check with an avian/reptile vet, but there aren't too many in NH. If anyone can help, it would be much appreciated.

Airplants are safe and commonly used with geckos.

Your biggest challenge will be finding some that enjoy the high temperatures and low humidity that Leopard Geckos prefer.

Thanks for your help. I think I'm going to be using a variety known as Victoriana and one called Tri-Color. Thank you for your help, I appreciate it.
