No larvae stage that I am aware of, but I notice lttle black beetles and wormy things sometimes in my cricket container also. Actually, every smaller lizard that I have had (smaller than collared) really enjoy the beetles but not so much the wormy things. Hope this helps!

I used to see some very small crickets, so if there's any larval state, they'd have to be 1/8 inch or less.
I have gotten some blackish gross looking beetle larva that seem to move too fast for what they are.

....crickets hatch out as tiny crickets; Pinheads, they call them LOL. I have about a billion that just hatched last week, and another container full of laying media ready to incubate. I'd do another one too, but Nina just fed all my adults to the monitor LOL. No black wormy deals involved with cricket culture!

the black things are sometimes caterpillars...at least thats what i sometimes get.
I find them soemtimes too. Usually when they're around, the crickets look all funky. Their wings are torn up like somethings been chewing on them or something. So if I were you I'd get rid of those nasty little wormy thingies. If not because they're potentially harmful tot he crickets, do it cuz they're yucky. = P
maybe thats why all my crickets are missing some of there legs lol, other then crickets, what do collareds like to eat?
