Anyone use 54 Quart size(home depot) ?

Malays Dec 29, 2006 11:43 AM

Hi
Saw nice size 54 quart storage container type box at home depot. My snapper is in 20 gallon long was going to go with a 40 long (still baby ofcourse) but saw the larger size container wanted to know if anyones used it?

Not sure of chemicals so was planning to leave water in it couple weeks replace it every 2 days and ofcourse clean it prior with vinegar-light cloroc but again not sure if safe .

Thank you

im using a 300 gallon rubbermaid stock tank. works great. mine has a drain in the bottom so its easy to drain. i got a pond filter/pump from steins to clean it. pndmaster 2500 i think is what it was called. i think any of the large stock tanks will do good. try feed stores, fleet farm.

Brilliant . I never thought of a Feed farm, etc just never occured to me . There is actually one around 90 minute drive from here which certainly makes it worth it .

I keep my ally inside so anything large that holds water (no bottom drain needed)is great. Infact going to get the phone # ask first before going there great idea I just never considered it .

Thanks a lot this got me thinking
