Two Cresties New At this Need help

I purchased 2 crested geckos from a pet store same age they've had them for 2 months but are unsure of the age. I cant see where there eating, They ate crickets at the Pet store. but i havent noticed them eating them here . i hand feed sometimes to be sure that there atleast eating something (natural baby food fruit) i dont know what else i should do.. Do the dishes need to be up in an elevated position? or are they ok on the ground.?

I have two crested geckos, and only one of them will eat his baby food on the ground. I made a little food shelf for them using two strong magnets, part of a food container, and a clip to hold it up. Now they both eat more, and they seem more comfortable in the upper part of the cage.
