I think its crazy.. but when you have idiots releasing burms and retics in the wild, we all have to pay. I hate the moronic pompus govt trying to tell me how to run my life. We better take this seriously, cause they will be comeing for all reptiles someday. Arrogant jerks like jack hannah who thinks he knows best what the general public shouldown or is capable of handling, makes me want to puke.. what if someone told him, what he is doing is too dangerous and he needs to start washing cars for a living...Arrghh!! thier having a workshop, anyone who is concearned should be there.

It won't fly,it died last time,it will do so this time as well.I wonder though,if it did pass, how would all of us who owned "reptiles of concern" (jeeez it's sounds stupid just typing that phrase)before the law passed prove we had them before? So as not to be forced into jumping through these rediculous hoops?

I wish it were that easy. It was legislation in the state congress that failed because they couldn't get it through by the end of the session (there was little opposition, it just didn't move fast enough). This is FWC's answer to doing many of the same things through regulation, which may actually take longer, but it requires no changes to the law, nor is there truely any oversight or recourse once it's in place.

The good news is that it probably won't be as bad as the law would have been, and will hopefully head off further legislation. It IS however, very important for us to make our voices heard at these workshop. I guess I'm taking a road trip...
