Well look what the cat drug in Good hearing from you Chris. No snow here in Virginia, especially in the eastern part of the state. The Atlantic tends to keep the eastern part of the state a little warmer in the winter, and cooler in the summer. It's been a few years since we've seen any amount of snow to brag about.

I live in Memphis, TN., and we are very lucky if we get an inch, or two a year, and even then the city shuts down. I am sooo jealous! I love the snow. I am originally from Norfolk, VA., and I hate hearing that your snowfall is limited there now. I am 42, and spent my first 10 years in Norfolk before my family moved to Memphis. Back then we got lots of snow. I remember loving Norfolk because I got to go to the beach in the summer, and got snow in the winter. We moved to Memphis, and no beach, and no snow. As a kid I was pissed. lol. I eventually hope to move somewhere that gets a good snowfall every year. I really miss it. Ken

I would really like to see some pics of the snow where you guys are. It just doesn't seem like winter when it's 60 degrees here. Thanks.

man you guys are getting sacked with snow. Hopefully your city is prepared to deal with heavy snow otherwise you might be getting stuck in the cabing for awhile.

Both I40 & I25 are closed down. My truck gets around real well in 4WD low though. So far not many power problems or other disasters.

I was stationed in Norfolk in the late 70's and early 80's. I remember getting a couple of really good snowstorms. I still have a bunch of pictures in some pretty good Norfolk snow.

Chris, I'm closer to the Williamsburg area. I'm around 55-60 miles from Norfolk.
How much snow did you get out in God's country?

Steve

we got 19 inches here in Albuquerque. Its the most we've every got in one day.

I was stationed in Norfolk in the late 70 early 80's. I've been to Williamsburg several times, Colonial and otherwise.

19 inchs? Wow. I figured you had alot because I was watching ESPN last night and they were talking about the University of New Mexico canceling their trip to play at Texas Tech because of the snow closing down the Airport.
I was stationed in Va. Beach in the 80's at NAS Oceana. Funny thing was during A school when it came to me getting a choice of orders, I had only two. Norfolk or Oceana. Here I am, a kid living in Va. most of my life, I join the Navy, and my two choices for a duty station are both within 75 miles of me. But no complaints. Three cruises within my four years of active duty gave me plenty of travel time.

but I'm not jealous of the snow. All the lizards are outside enjoying the sun right now, I'm wearing shorts an a T shirt. We might drive up to Julian this afternoon (about and hour) to see the snow and have some hot apple pie at Mom's, then back home where it is warm.

I did have a little frost on the car early in the morning all week, does that count as snow?

My brother lives in San Marcos CA. Him and his kids were out here about a week ago when we had our first big storm (about 6 inches) they really enjoyed it. We normally don't get much snow here but we now have about 15-18 inches here and its still snowing. I like a little variety.

Man,I really appreciate those pics. I wish we would get a snow like that here. My old home town of Norfolk is one of the cities I am concidering moving to here in a couple years, but just about all my relatives live in North Carolina so that's an option also. Are any of you guys in NC?
