Unusual behavior in D. azureus

zookeeper7986 Dec 30, 2006 01:44 PM

I have been noticing that one of my female azureus has been hanging out in the water quite a bit lately. She looks normal to me. She isn't as fat as the other two--she is eating great though. With reptiles, if an animal is in the water all the time, you need to see if the temps are too high or if they have mites. My temps are fine (low 80's in the day, 75 at night). And they don't have mites. Any suggestions? I'm not incredibly worried--it just seems atypical. Thanks.

Luke.

My D. azureus pair sit in the water a lot. There's a little fountain and a short water fall in their tank. I don't think it's unusual. Now--a chance to post some more phtotos:

Thanks. I didn't think he was illing or anything. It's just that every time I saw her, she was in the water. But then, I can't watch my frogs all day...But if I could get paid for that, there would be an idea! Thanks for your pics! Gotta love pumilios!!!
