Hi everyone, I am a new member from Oregon.

Although the State of Oregon has no laws governing the captivity of crocodilians, the County of Multnomah does have an ordinance forbidding them to be kept 'as pets'. Exempt from this ordinance among others are licensed exhibition animals. I am involved in an educational crocodilian program in another county that is entirely unregulated. I would like to bring this program to Multnomah County as well as acquire and house one of the rescue/rehab animals that we have available for that use in the Linn County program.

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge regarding the licensing process in Multnomah? I would want the permit to include housing the animal in a dual (commercial/residential) zoned area, and requirements for taking the animal into schools, churches and day camps for educational purposes.

Thank you for any help or links you can provide.
