I saw a friends iggy today for the first time. Its about 2 years old. etc. This lizard has very thick skin. It appears that she isn't shedding and its building up on this animal. I have never seen anything like this before. I discussed in length thier cage set up, lights, heat etc. The cage discussion resulted in finding they have been using pine or aspen shavings as a substrate. They also have not been bathing this lizard. Misting only. I sent them home with instructions to bath this iggy often for the next few days and see what happens with the skin (and get rid of the shavings!!!). The lizard appears healthy, active and well fed other than this weird, too thick, off color skin. I work at a vets office and will be refering to him on Tuesday but was just curious if this sounds familiar to anyone else. Thanks, Brenda
