Well I am going to be aquiring a blizzard kingsnake in the coming weeks and just was wondering if anyone had any and if they could post some pics of their blizzard cal kings? Also what is the difference between a blizzard and a leucistic? just a different word for it?? Thanks again.

leucistic is a type of albinism, though the cause is different than PE albinism. leucistic is different from a blizzard. Leucistic animals usually do not have pink eyes.

A blizzard is an expression of both the amel phenotype and the hypermelanistic phenotype in the same snake.

What hypermelanism actually is caused by, I don't know - I don't personally think it is over production of melin, but rather is a pattern morph that results in reduced, incomplete, or completely missing cream pattern. This results in an almost completely brown or black snake. Make that snake an albino as well, and you have a blizard.
