Did Johnny Knoxville kill the snake?

Just watched Jackass 2 and in "the puppet show" segment(if you've seen it you know what I mean), when things are all said and done, the snake-looks like an ATB- is dangling limply out the hole in the cage. Is it dead or just stressed/worn out?
