do you think 16 is too young for a big boid? i just receiced a 10 foot tiger retic from a friend who is moving somwhere the snake cannot. normaly i would not have taken a snake this big but it is puppy dog tame and my friend realy wanted somone who can care for it properly, which i can do. i have been keeping ball pythons, boas,a blue tongued skink, and a gopher snake(another snake given to me)for about six years now.i am completely aware of how big it will be,and what it will need to eat. i guess i just want the opinions of people who know about reptiles befor i decide to keep it or sell it.

I don't think it's too young since it's not your first snake. Just use common sense when handling the big guy, be careful and enjoy.

I got my first retic at 16 and have no regrets. As long as you feel comfortable handling it, you should be fine. If you are nervous at all, and are unsure if you can handle it safely, you might want to reconsider. But your probably fine. Good luck with him,

Cheers,
Nick

No I don't think you are old enough or have enough experience.
