I am wondering what phase my little bearded dragon is. Here is a picture of it below.

I think he's a very nice looking Beardy.
I don't know what phase he is though, -it looks pretty normal colord to me.
lol, sorry, I'm not much help... maybe someone else has an idea?

For the most part, you can't tell, "what phase" a dragon is by looking at it. Most "phases" are so mixed up there aren't too many true "phases" out there. Even if you did have a pair of the same phase dragons, their babies will not all look the same, in most cases, so it's hard to put a name on a phase by looking at them. Your best bet would be asking the breeder.
Example
These three dragons are from the same parents, same clutch. Can you tell what phase? nope..

Thanks Matt, That made me laugh.
later.
Joel
red, orange, yellow, normal, not like Gold X german giant, or zilla x goldfroggy thats more bloodlines, at least to me, to me joel your dragons are orange phase, carrick, orange phase, my girl gobi although shes a yellow sandfire, shes yellow phase and my guy Daigh a red phase dragon, so phase is more just the color of the dragon, at least to me
those others are just fancy names made for dragons as a result of their colors
this is "the incredible Bulk" "incredible green x hulk" dragon he is a neon green phase dragon
hehehe

they should all be of the same phase then right? I have orange's and yellow's from the same clutch so what phase are the yellow's? Yellow phase? That's the problem with all the different names etc. Who decides what is what?
See, a blood dragon is sold as a hatchling but never obtains the red coloring it's siblings did. Soo, what phase is that blood dragon now? Do you change it's "phase" name because it didn't turn red?
Joel R
it sounds strange, but i suppose its the way i think of it. If the babies come from the same parents and one is red and one is yellow, it could be a yellow phase dragon(just an example) with blah X blah lineage. Example that one dragon that i thnk mattman has from chris allen, supposed to be one of Chris' red crosses, but the dragon is orange, so to me its an orange phase dragon with red x red lineage. Like carrick, hes not gold colored and german giant isnt a phase, so he to me is an orange phase dragon, thats what his color phase is. I suppose its just what makes sense to me, i know it may not to you, definatly not saying its what is right, just right in my head
to me the name is decided by the color (the phase) and the dragon is described by its blood lines (mother X father) all these different names came from breeders, there are really only a few base phases, red, yellow, orange, normal and some say greens, that military green some dragons display, and then a whole bunch of names that breeders gave these phases, which is just fine as some people have produced very very fine examples of these colors eg, there is now "Jersey Dragon Red" they are red phase dragons with red X red lineage, but someone that takes one of these babies will then breed it and it will read "jersey dragon red X whatever"....i ramble,,, i guess all the names and actual phases of dragons got all mixed together, suppose there arent any true phases anymore..

You are right too. It's just become too difficult to say what it may be because of the different crossing etc. not to mention, the different names that each phase has been called by other people,
Yellow, citrus, lemon, etc.
Blood, red, and it's too late to think. lol
My brain has stopped. lol
I see us both right because we are lost. lol
Later & good night.
Joel
but before I go,, here is one of my favorite phases,
The Gem phase. lol
i totally understand your point and neither is more right then the other, i think there are just so many differently named phases these days the originals have become lost, anyhow, no matter, at least all these names keep things interesting, they had cotton candy phase last year, that was real different
wonder where those went to............

no one has been able to explain to me what a Jungle pattern is or where the heck that name came from....
I think I will name my line Einstein pattern, cause the are so smart!
Or maybe Spitz(several gold medals in the 80's olympics) line since they love to swim!
Yeah, asking the breeder is kind of impossible, since I got it at a pet shop who orderd them in from about 5 different places. but i see what is meant about not being able to tell what phase. I had one before an it was a touch gold phase and it didn't look any different than a normal phase. I had to get rid of it after about 8 months because it was really mean. i was living with my dad and step-mom at the time and they didn't want me getting bit, I didn't care if I got bit. LOL Oh well i'm rambling so I'll get off ehre now, you get my point.
Putting two brothers in their place!!

over 2 years ago, Joel beat me to a show in Tampa and got a dragon I had seen online... she was fantasic in color and pattern. Joel bought her and I have always loved that dragon, now she is a mother herself and she had one female that is a copy of her..... that girl there... Joel likes to taunt me with her
It's Cheri Sis's favorite one,, I'm just rubbing it in. lol
Kind of an inside joke like the undies
