soaking milks

i find that my newly acquired honduran milks like to soak in their water dishes an awful lot.is this normal?

Milksnakes appreciate a humid hide once in awhile, but also will use a water dish if the temps are high, the cage is too dry, absence of a cool hide area, and possibly mites or other irritation, including a substate that they don't like. Or they could be soaking just because. Check for any reasons.

yep Markg is right. My Nelsoni will soak if temps go above 83f.
