CGD diet question?

raingerjoe Jan 01, 2007 04:16 AM

I was wondering how long prepared CGD will last in the fridge before it must be tossed??

According to the label unprepared CGD once opened will stay fresh for six months as long as it remains dry. Just wondering if anyone here on this forum has prepared CGD as per instructions, and stored it in the fridge for future use?

Thanks in advance........

I wouldn't suggest doing it. My understanding is the vitamins in CGD oxidize very quickly and lose potency when mixed with water. I would suggest getting a small teaspoon or something of the like and simply mix up what you need when you need it. (We do this right in the serving bowl.)

That being said, I think a day or two would be ok just this time. But I wouldn't go further than that.
