HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!!, I would have responded to the earlier post on this subject, but was out of town visiting........I would never of thought this weird subject would come up!, but since it has, I can relate!!(LOL). About fifteen years ago, I witnessed an adult "snowcorn" of mine doing the same thing. He was in the process of shedding, and while going around the waterbowl to shed the skin like many snakes typically do, he entered into the open mouth portion of his own shedskin!!(LOL). I watched in amazement to see what he would do if he continued on.....when he reached the "end of the road" at the tail portion, he moved his head side to side in an attempt to free himself from the narrowing "tunnel" of skin!, he was basically stuck!!(LOL). I'm sure he would have eventually crawled out on his own, but I opened the cage and helped him out by ripping the "cloacal opening" a bit more so he could crawl out...How many people can say that they actually saw a snake crawl out of it's own a@#hole!!!(LOL)......I never thought that I would ever see this happen again, as it took decades of snake keeping for me to witness this only once,......what are the odds?About a month ago, I lifted the lid off to one of my hatchlings(extreme hypo Hond.), and there it was!, it happened again!(LOL). This time, I saved it so I could take a photo of it......never in a million years did I ever think this would be a subject!(LOL)......."normal" people would never be able to relate to a stupid topic like this!(LOL), only "herpers" like us on a snake forum!!. Anyway, here's a pic of the shed, and the snake that made it!!(LOL)................Doug
