Hello, I bought this animal last week at a local pet store.
She caught me eye, because of the strange color / belly.
It's a WC animal, could it be a YB ?

Those are very nice examples of YB, but their are also YB which look like normals are their ?
I'am going to go out on a limb here. Having only been into ball pythons for about 6 months I 'am going to say from what I can tell in the pics its probably not a "yellow Belly".(dont see any yellow or flames along the sides) But with the clear belly I would say that is may be some type of Co-dom/Dominate. What does the pattern on the back look like. Also is there anything unusual about the head pattern?(Light colored spot or markings) If anyone else has more authoritative input,(please) I' am certainly ready to learn. But that's my 2 cents.

More than half of my balls have clear bellies (11 do 8 do not...I just counted
). Most of my snakes were not hand picked for any variety, but given to us in groups. Only one of the clear bellies is a "morph" and he is a pastel. Clear bellies are of course nice, and can be an indicator of genetics. Be aware though, that it is a very common trait in ball pythons, and alone doesn't mean anything.
Some of my favorite looking normals, do not have clear bellies at all

Good Luck!

Thanks for the info Amy. Of the 17 ball pythons I have there only 6 that i can not definitively call a morph. They are 100% hets or possible hets. So at this point my experience with wild type/normals is limited at best. But of the visual morphs I have(1.4 pastels, 0.3 spiders, 1.1 albinos, 1.1 orange hypos) all have clear bellies. So I guess thats where I got the ideal that a clear belly is more then it may be.

She the only one in my collection with a clear bellie !!! , so thats why I started this subject.
The overall appearance of the snake is a chocolate color and she also has some head patterns.

I have one that looks just like that. Snow white and no markings. Let me know what you find out.
