Bullsnake feeding question.

theaspiration Jan 01, 2007 06:27 PM

I have a 3 month old bullsnake that has been readily taking f/t fuzzies since I bought it until last week. Lately she has been reluctant to eat them under the circumstances that she usually takes them from.

The tempature in the enclosure has remained steady and I wasn't planning on putting her down for any length of time this year. When I introduce a mouse for feeding she gets excited, finds it and then leaves it alone. She acts confused but the mouse and then just goes to hide after getting riled up over the scent.

Should I just brush this off for a week or two or try a different method.

Suggestions are very much appreciated.

BTW, this is my first bullsnake. I've had numerous SD gophers over the years that have never been this finnicky.

Yeah just try later. Mine do that this time a year no matter how warm I keep them. I've never heard of a bull refusing food until it starved!
