Winnie passed

steffke Jan 01, 2007 07:47 PM

The female that I had had for several years died before Thanksgiving. She was 5years old when I got her from Tgreb in 2002 and would have been about 9 when she passed. Just wanted to let people know who are keeping stats on longevity. She was a sweetie.

Hopefully you do not give up on chucks. Also it is good to see you on the forum. To bad it is under these circumstances.

I really am sorry she died, always feels terrible, especially when they were a pet for so many years. But I'm sure she had a
"wonderful life" while alive, with you.

She looks like she ate quite well, a real CUTIE, hope you feel better soon.

Hi Angela,
I am so sorry for your loss. I know you will never forget your dear friend. Over a span of MANY years (eons?) I have kept and lost Chuckwallas. Winnie is very reminiscent of a female I lost 20 years ago. Desdemona was her name. You never forget them. They are all individuals.
Thank you for sharing the statistics with the forum. I have often wondered about longevity. As Eve said, she looks so great in the picture. Can you share with us the circumstances that led up to her passing? Failure to thrive? Sickness? Accident?
If it is not too painful, there may be a benefit to the forum readers. Again, I cry when I lose one, and it's never easy. Hope you feel better soon, and I know this message echoes throughout the forum.
Maureen
