I believe that the biggest known boa is a suri(????) that was aprox. 12 ft(????). At least I remember reading something like that on here at one time. Someone who knows more may chime in... Jon

go to www.mccarthyboas.com go to the big boa page the largest one on there that i have seen was the peruvian and man that thing was huge other than that personaly the largest i have seen was 10' 60lbs and that was a columbian female that was about 12 years old never bred
I had a columbian female, she was 10 1/2" and at her prime was 60 plus lbs. Sadly, she passed away this year at 17 years old. Never bred, she was a pet. I saved many of her sheds and keep them on my wall at work. The strings are to show people how the markings stay the same, just get larger.

Wow i really like how you kept all the sheddings like that. What did you do to treat and preserve them if anything?
Was not all of them, only the whole ones that were not too soiled if you know what I mean!
All I did was to carefully turn them right side out and straighten. Then pressed them flat under magazines and allowed to dry that way. As they got longer and longer was harder to find an open area to leave them pressed under all those magazines.

of 18.5 feet for the boa constrictor is based on a specimen killed and taped on the island of Trinidad in the 1940's by Colin Pittendrigh. The measurement was accurate, but the snake had been mis-identified. It turns out that it was actually an anaconda, but this was not revealed until the record had already been accepted by many. The largest boa constrictors currently on record are a few specimens that taped between 14 and 15 feet from the area around southern Colombia and northern Peru.

13 years old and 10 and a half feet. She's not real heavy only about 45 lbs. never bred

Our biggest girl is 11 years, 9ft and 30 lbs. Doesn't matter how much she eats, 30lbs seems to be her weight no matter what.

Here is my big girl. She is 8.5-9 ft and 35 lbs but by no means a giant. At almost 9 years she is a good healthy adult female, probably about average for a girl her age.Maybe in 5-10 years she'll be considered a very large boa, but in the meantime I think she is beautiful just the way she is.
