Identification help

KenCasstevens Jan 02, 2007 02:17 AM

I had been eyeballing this snake in a local pet store for a while, and it was soo pretty I decided to get it. They said some girl had dropped it off, and even she didn't know what kind it was. In my very inexperienced pit opinion it is an albino Sonoran gopher, but I would appreciate a more experienced opinion. Thank you all in advance for your replies.

Two more pics. Also, I almost forgot to give the photo credits. Michelle Rogers, and her lovely family came over the other day, and she brought her awesome camera, and we took a whole bunch of new pics of most all of my snakes that aren't cooling, and a couple that were. Thanks again Michelle.

What is the other line(s), and do you know anyone raising them? Thanks for any info.

The other line is the common Albino and the Envy line is het for Blizzard and those hold the genes to create Hypos, Hybinos Ghosts and Blizzards. The other line is not compatible with Envy stock...you could breed an Envy line Albino to the other line of Albinos and not get any Albinos...only double het for both types. Envy has both types, John Schmitt of Suncoast Reptiles has the common line...and I am sure others can be found as well. Just buy from a reputable source so you produce what you expect to produce and do not get disappointed Tom Stevens

Thanks for the great information. I swear I learn something new on here every day. I'll try to contact them to find a male. She just probed female, yeah.
