Breeding Leopard Geckos

Graniteer Jan 02, 2007 07:17 PM

I want to try breeding leopard geckos. I have never done this before, and was wondering if anyone had any advice. The female(s) would be first time breeders. About how many eggs can I expect per each? I've heard anywhere from 4-48 eggs. I'd just be doing this for fun, maybe giving some away to friends or family. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all.

i'm going to do the same thing, i got a book called leopard geckos and fat tailed geckos and it's been really helpful. i think you should expect 2-4 eggs every few (3-4) weeks, but i'm not 100% sure. good luck!

If you haven't done so already, I'd post this question in the Leopard Gecko section for more replies.

Wish I could help more than that.

Take care!

You will get SHREDDED in our leo forums for asking about monetary gain of geckos, but hey, more power to ya.

I didn't see anything in the post about monetary gain. Even still, no problem, SHRED the SHREDDER!!! LOL!!! It works both ways.

I really wasn't looking for any monetary gain. I was just wondering what sort of costs would be incurred. If I could expect 30 or so geckos, then I would not be able to afford to properly maintain them. This was just going to be something for fun to get to know my pets better. Thanks to all who gave courteous and useful advice.
