She was a little grumpy today...

that I plan on pairing up with her in a few years. I like his tail pattern. Although my hand is washed out in the picture, his colors are true. Also this little "wierdo" has almost no moustache. Just a dot, like he bumped into the business end on a felt tip marker.

Lok at the cloaca region. From the cloaca to the tip of the tail what color is it???
Either way a gorgeous snake!
If you are talking about the stripe of color on the underside of the tail found on motleys and arabesques, I think this is just because of that type of pattern. I had an Argentine X Colombian (recently sold) that had a fully connected pattern and the same solid color on the underside of his tail. I haven't looked at Colombians (normals) with these traits. But I don't think it signifies a mutation. By the way, my cross also had full stripes down his sides, his whole pattern was common of Argentine boas, and Pete Kahl (the breeder of mine) has had numerous Argentine crosses with the same traits.
It's the King/Queen of all Boas!

I have seen motleys with less of a motley pattern than that.

Definitely some pattern similarities, but the same could be said in regards to it being an Arabesque. Take care

This IS a motley. I mentioned her before as being pretty plain, and probably 95% of people will try to argue that she is not a motley. I'll let people think whatever they like, I'm not posting this to argue with anyone. All the motleys in this litter look a little different than everyone elses, and the longer I have them, the more I appreciate this fact. Anyway, the side pattern definitely doesn't prove/disprove anything as you can tell this female has pretty normal side medallions although they're faded out. The male that produced these motleys also sired a litter of motleys which look more like all the others, there are just variations. However, most people are only willing to post pics of the best they feel they have to offer. If you put this snake side by side with the one posted originally, I'd take the other one based on looks if price were equal, but I still don't think it's a motley. Take care
Paul

Every one I have seen that looks like that was supposedly a farm import from Barranquilla. I had a pair of very nice ladder tail ones. I will have to dig up some photos. Some have the zig-zag striping on the sides and/or ladder tails but most do not. Many have the heavy connecting chain-like saddles with clean backs. Ben Siegel has sold them in the past.
Here is a juvi pair. They can get very high constrast when older.
These did not have the zig-zag side stripe. But the pic of the new born did. Some have saddle patterns so heavy that there are just almost perfect circles left, hence the "circle back ladder tail" mentioned aboe. The juvi pair was my pic, the newborn pic was an old sale photo from Siegel.

Not as much color but nonetheless a Baranquilla import....

They do look like mine a lot!
Only difference I see is the head marking...
Thanks for all the replies!

I have a really nice CBLT with the zig-zag pattern. I bred her last year to a super salmon and most of the babies were CBLT w/Zig-Zags. I think its genetic! My opinion from my observations!
They priemied out but here is a pic...
