Hello! from a new member.

Hello All
I have been watching this forum for years and have never joined until today. I live in Ontario Canada and have been working with snakes for quite a few years now. But after many years of working with snakes I decided to shift my collection to the one genus that I really enjoy working with and that's Pituophis. I keep and breed every species of Pine and three species of Gopher with a few colour variations in between. Anyway, that's my story and I'm looking forward to meeting some new new Pituophis fans and using my experiences to help in any way.

Andy

Welcome Andy. Nice to have you here. I'm pretty new myself. I've only been into pits for a few months. I can't begin to tell you how much I've learned in just the short time I've been here. Everyone on here is very nice, and are fountains of information. I'm sure you'll make some good friends on here. Welcome.

Hello,
What 3 Gopher ssp. do you keep? Are there any native to your neck of the woods in Canada? I think you guys have Great Basins up there, right? Always great to meet another fellow Pit enthusiast!

Andy, Hello back at you. It has been a long time since I have heard anything from the Canadian Pituophis folks. I will take a pic of that cool pit t-shirt you guys crafted and post it here if you do not mind. Any word from Jonnathan Wright? Cheers. Ginter

Thank you everybody for the warm welcomes. Ginter old buddy, how the heck are you? As far as the shirt goes, post a pic my friend. I will say, that was made by a good friend of mine here in TO. The Gophers that I work with are affinis, annectens and vertebralis. The deserticola that we have here in Canada are on the west end of the country and I'm more to the east. I have worked with them and bred them in the past though. Problem here is that you can't even give them away, so you end up raising all the babies yourself. I have not heard anything about J Wright in quite a while to answer your question John. Anyway, take care all and if I can figure out just how to post pics (not a computer guy)I will do so. I just got my first digital camera in the fall so I don't have pics of everything, but I do have pics of most. If anyone wants pics of a certain species let me know and I can e mail it to you.

Over and Out
Andy
