Whats the fleshy thing coming out?

805Ringo Jan 03, 2007 10:36 PM

Please enlighten me- when I bathe my Leonardo in his clear tub I notice when he poops- a fleshy buttercup flower shaped 'thingy' slides out. It dosen't look like a penis. Does this mean he is a she? Leonardo's tail is somewhat long and bends up and to the side of 'his' rear like the male pictures I've seen; but I still havent seen what resembles a penis the 2 years I've had him / her. Thanks

That does sound like it is the penis. It box turtles at least it is shaped like that, and purple.

this has a picture of a sulcatas penis: http://www.corhs.org/reptilesexuality.html

Many animals penis' do not look like what most people would expect. It sounds like your guy is just "flashing", and as long as it goes back in there shouldn't be any problems.

Aaaah... It certainly dosent look like the sulcata's; and not as purple, it's light pink! It looks healthy and does retract back into the tail after his bath is finished. Thanks! It's nice to know Leonardo isn't a Leah!
