Hello everyone, I've enjoyed reading the posts and seeing pics of the awesome snakes on this site. I hope to figure out how to post pics of a few members of my 'addiction'.
I'd love to learn more from some of the more learned Mexicana lovers. What is the correct way to pronouce Thayeri? I've heard it pronounced "thay-air-eye" and "thay-air-ee".
Thanks for the info.
Vic

technically i think it is "thay-air-eye" to keep with the latin of it, i call them that myself, but i have heard both, and the nice thing about this forum is you learn something new everyday, when i first got into these snakes i didnt even know about the milk snake phase and when i found out i was hooked.

I pronounce it thay-air-eye, but I've here it with the short "e" also. I think that thay-air-eye is correct but I'm not going to bet on it.

So whats with the "almost" stealing my name????

Thanks everyone--for the info and the warm welcome. I love the pics.
Vichris....well, what can I say, I have good taste! Actually, I guess it would be my parents that had good taste, since they named me. lol

Vichris, you have some real beauties.
I see my username is very similar to your business name. I'm not sure I can change my username now. (sorry, I was looking at other usernames, I didn't check business names.) Don't worry, I don't have a business, I just have pets. If I do decide to start a business, down the road, I'll be more careful.
Thanks again for the information and pictures.

Don't worry. I was just having fun with you. Again welcome to the forum. Lets see some pics of your beauties.

Hope y'all had a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year in your neck of the Thayeri Woods so to speak...

Man, I thought you'd changed your name..."VicsVariables".

Vic,

Welcome to the wonderful world of the "Box of Thayeri's". This is only my second year of having Thayeri's in my house so I guess I'm a "Newbie" as well...there are some great folks here on this forum with a wealth of knowledge from many "Thayeri Old Timers" (no offense intended) to share that you will not find in books so, if you have a question, just post it...somebody will chime in with some information to answer your question(s).

In otherwords...it is a "Variable" encyclopedia of Thayeri knowledge here!

Again, welcome.

Later,

-----
