looks like a face only a mother can love HAHAHAHA very cool shot though! i'll have to take a picture of my snapper since when i found her she had no "snout" just a hole. so i had to keep her. i cant just let the poor thing walk around with her "hole" full of dirt! i dunno if she was clipped by a car of what. but her face is so cute- i'll try to take a picture tonight if i remember.

Yes only a face a mother could love...lol... My husband thinks i am very sick. I got a trio for mothers day 2 years ago. I told him roses die and i didn't want any jewlery but there were some nice turtles on line, so finally after hours of convincing he gave in and I love them. They are like living dino's.

I saved a common alittle bit bigger than that from the yellow lines on a a busy road this past summer, i have never had a snapper literally jump off the ground at me before

That was nice of you to save him and you are right the common can jump really high, they also move faster. I have had both and they are very different personality wise. One is laid back the other is mean as hell.

i couldnt just let him sit on the yellow lines, i am a tortoise/turtle nut also. growing up i had moved really big ones off the road but they never jumped that high, i am assuming because they were so large, one time we found a huge one when i was 14 and my freind and i put it in a radio flyer wagon and wheeled it a mile away to a really nice body of water/wetlandforest, it was fun.
