Why did you stop putting the male in with her? Were they still locking up?

If she is gravid the male will lose interest in her. I keep my male with my girls on and off until around Valentine's Day (or ovulation). A couple of my girls are ovulating, and my pastel stopped copulating about a week about (even before I noticed the swell). He is still working on a couple other girls Now it isn't 100%, but usually my girls lose a bit of interest in food around this time. One of mine ate perfectly until about a month ago, and hasn't had any interest in the slightest...of course if my belly was as big as hers I would probably refrain too! Last year was my first year breeding, and I frequently thought my snakes were ovulating...than one of them ovulated and there was no mistaking the event! If she is ovulating she will shed 27-30 days from now...so be on the look out!
