"playing" with my new camera!!!

DMong Jan 05, 2007 10:52 PM

Hi guys,.....I was practicing with a new camera(Canon A540) I got the other day, and played with a few "close shots" to show how similar the "ruby-red" eyes of an "extreme" hypo are in comparison to an albino honduran........All the setting capabilities on this thing are definitely gonn'a take some practice!!!(LOL). This camera makes my other digital camera look like a disposable!!...........enjoy!,...........Doug

Yes,Very close on the eyes and the only thing thats kept me from maybe thinking they were more than a hypo is that they don't get any tipping and all albinos tip out some.

Great Stuff,
Shannon

Yes, I agree, I think many other people are unaware of this fact, because "extremes" (as you well know) usually carry a "reduced pattern" gene, along with the reduced melanin gene..........whereas albinos are basically a "normal" snake with NO melanin at all,......which leaves the scale tip "white" where it would otherwise be black on a normal animal.......Glad you liked the Close-up shots of the eyes. You posted some great looking snakes dude!.........take care, Doug

Shannon,.......that's a super nice, crisp shot of your "extreme", I must say!!......Heres one of mine,.keep in mind, it's MUCH more "neon/pumpkin orange" than the photo shows, otherwise the file would have been too big for me to post, so I had to take away some "color saturation"............enjoy, Doug

Nice,
I realy like the extremes that have thick even bands. Its the bands that make them stand out.I have one that is pretty much patternless and doesn't look as good as the nice contrasting ones with bands.

Couldn't agree with you more on that!!! although the patternless (VP's) are less common, and more expensive, in my opinion the patterned ones look nicer because it "shows-off" the nice hypo banding!!!..............later.........Doug
